Invader is a French urban artist who is responsible for some of the most recognisable street art out there. He creates pixel art of the aliens from the 1978 arcade game Space Invaders, these have appeared everywhere from the Hollywood Sign to Jacques Chirac’s lapel. Invader’s work is distinct, offering the viewer the opportunity to theorise wildly about what its purpose may be. His newest gallery pieces are made up of original Rubik’s cubes,  works he’s created include scenes from A Clockwork Orange to the Mona Lisa.

I found Invader’s work while looking into pixel and mosaic art and found it really relevant to one of the experiments I was thinking of doing, his work has inspired me to go through this and see where it leads me.
